Why your own
baseline matters.

A useful comparison begins with the circumstances around it.

Build a personal baseline

Compare two readings.

A personal baseline is your usual pattern across several readings taken in similar conditions. Choose a situation for each day to see what matches and what changes.

Activity differs

Compare seated readings with other seated readings, and walking readings with other walking readings.

A personal health profile

See what repeats over time.

A baseline tells you what’s usual for you. A profile brings the history of several signals together. In this example, each week uses readings from seated mornings with a consistent earbud fit.

A pattern worth a closer look

Both signals changed together in week 3 and again in week 4. With a longer history, we can study when the pattern repeats and whether one change tends to come first.

01 /

The first question is “compared with what?”

A number or a pattern has little meaning without a reference. For a personal wellness experience, the reference should help a person understand what is usual for them, while keeping the circumstances of the observation in view.

02 /

Your day changes the setting.

A quiet morning, a moving conversation and a brisk walk are different moments. Fit, activity and surroundings can change what is available to observe. Bringing those details together makes the comparison more understandable.

03 /

A pattern opens a conversation.

A personal reference should help people ask better questions about their routines. It should not turn a single observation into a diagnosis. Our developing experience keeps the person, the setting and the limits of the observation in the same picture.
